SD:SPUR 2010 case studies conference

This is a one day conference with an exhibition area held at the Radisson in Manchester, on 25 May 2010.The event will focus on sustainable waste and material management in nuclear decommissioning. It will showcase current site practices which you will be able to learn from. Delegates will:

Engage with professionals and technical experts in waste and material management from the nuclear and non nuclear sector, both international and national
Sharing good practice, and lessons learnt with industry peers
Be able to listen to alternative perspectives and issues
Participate in discussion sessions, that will focus on key area of the case studies presented
Network and exchange information and views with technical experts, regulators, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.

The day will focus on case studies on Characterisation, Risks, Technologies, Planning for the waste hierarchy and Obstacles, uncertainties, solutions
